Chaos in Serenity

Last night was supposed to be a fun filled evening with my friends at Serenity Spanish Bar and Restaurant.

However, we got fleeced by the establishment and paid a hefty price to learn this lesson.

We sat down to order a jug of beer @ $42, barely enough to go around the table of 5. And we had brussel sprouts for our appetizer. At $18, it is really a super small dish that could only feed 1.

We had ordered a meat platter combo which consisted of a suckling pig and some sausages. When it came, it was only 1/4 of a suckling pig and 4 miserable small sausages. This platter costs $138 and is not even enough to share among 2 people.

An the paella adds to the burning sensation in the pocket. At $48, it is only for a serving of 2 people.

We each paidabout $58 for a meal that was totally not worth it.

The ambience was ok, but live band was a little loud. Staff were dropping dishes and cutlery which spoilt the already foul mood and a birthday song in which the staff had to serve a cake to the table, ended up being played 4 times because no staff actually were ready.

All in all:
Food: 4/10
Service: 3/10
Ambience: 5/10
Overall: 4/10

Avoid this place at all costs if you wany to avoid feeling shortchanged.
